CH WHINGATE LITTLE DANDY 12.9.1989 - 24.7.2006 Sire: Ch Palfrey Oliver Twist Dam: Ch Ancrownes Biddy

What a great little showman Dandy was in his days in the showring. His beautiful golden tan furnishings were admired by all and his silky coat always shone brilliantly.
His achievements included Best of Breed, Adelaide Royal Show Challenge Dog and Runner up Best of Breed, Melbourne Royal Show Best in Group and many Class in Group Awards. Dandy was retired from the showring at 4 years of age with 430 challenge points, taking Open in Group at his final show.

Weighing in at 4 lb., Dandy was an irrepressible mischievious bundle of energy. Everything in life was a challenge to him, as can be seen from the stand-off he is accomplishing with these Aberdeen Angus cattle at our back fence.
Nothing changed from those early days, and right up to recent times, he would still challenge our horse Toga at the back fence, - a bright and sprightly little dog
Here he is with son Ben

We were indeed fortunate to have Dandy when we commenced our involvement with Yorkshire Terriers. Not only was he a great ambassador for the breed, but he has passed on his virtues to his offspring.

Dandy has also been a CARING CANINE COMPANION and visited his friends at Resthaven, Westbourne Park and Masonic Lodge, Somerton for a number of years.
Dandy is the sire of 1 Grand Champion and of 5 Australian Champions, grandsire to 2 Australian Champions and 2 Grand Champions, great grandsire to one Champion and gr gr grandsire to one Champion..
